IAN COOK - POPBANG ART

Ian uses a unique style of painting with remote control cars on canvas, to create bespoke contemporary artworks.

Visitors to the Museum will be able to watch Ian in action as he creates his unique artworks. When he is off site, visitors will still be able to view a number of originals on display as well as being able to purchase his prints from the Museums gift shop..

Ian’s art has attracted considerable media attention. His artwork was recently featured on BBC’s Top Gear in December 2009 and on Blue Peter earlier last year. Ian hopes to promote his work on BBC’s The One Show during 2010.

Ian has a number of exciting plans in the pipeline during 2010. These include attending the Autosport International Show with Dunlop and designing an original piece for the Make-A- Wish Foundation which will be auctioned off for charity.

Curator for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “We’re delighted that Ian is our artist in residence. Ian has a huge following and will no doubt attract a lot of interest. With Ian’s passion for cars, the Heritage Motor Centre is the perfect venue for his studio”.
